Hobs really can print anything! The world record attempt for the biggest colouring-in book was printed by Hobs Bristol and was organised in partnership with the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) as a centrepiece of the “city green” for Bristol Habourside Festival.
Phil Newton is a construction print specialist for Hobs Manchester which, amongst many other things, creates bespoke tender submissions and hoardings for construction sites. We grabbed a coffee with him to ask some quick fire questions!
Hobs have invested in a new digital printer which prints onto sheets of paper up to 120cm long by 33cm high. This is bigger than laying five A4 pages side-by-side, and much longer than two A3 pages placed end-to-end.
Hobs is investing in the local communities it serves, as four new young apprentices have been recruited for the new academic year and have now started their 2-year training-at-work programme.
