Hobs Reprographics was a proud sponsor of The Food Porn Awards™ and printed high-resolution photo-boards for the Northern Bar and Restaurant Show in March.
The awards were a free competition to find the best looking food from restaurants, pubs, bars and eateries across the North West. Chefs sent in the images of their most mouth-watering dishes to be in with a chance of securing a coveted award. Amongst many others, even celebrity chefs Simon Rimmer and Aiden Byrne entered.
A judging panel included a mix of journalists and industry professionals who selected the twelve finalists. These finalists then had to re-create their dishes in the Food Porn Awards kitchen. Professional food photographers, STM Photography, which have collaborated with the likes of MasterChef, then worked with the chefs to capture their creations.
If you have amazing photography, you need the best high-resolution printing, so Hobs Reprographics were asked to print the twelve final pictures as high-resolution display boards. The selection of images were presented for final review in front of the judging panel. Hobs then printed an exhibition stand so the images could be exhibited at the Northern Restaurant and Bar Show, which is attended by thousands of food specialists.
Hobs presented the award to Best Boutique Pub, but the overall winner was a Fine Dining dish created by Earle by Simon Rimmer.
