Exhibition Extended: 3D Printing The Future

Hobs Studio are the presenting partner for the exhibition 3D Printing the Future at Manchester’s Museum of Science & Industry (MOSI).

It was due to run until May, but has been so successful that it has been extended to run until the 20th September 2015. Visitor numbers have far surpassed those hoped for and the exhibition is getting great feedback.  MOSI have calculated that an amazing 44% of all their visitors have visited the exhibition.

The exhibition brings together hundreds of 3D printed objects, from 3D printed knickers to 3D printed pills and a synthetic heart.  As presenting partners Hobs Studio have 3D printed the majority of the items on display and ‘powers’ the exhibition also features live 3D printing demonstrations on most days which are ‘powered by Hobs Studio’.

Head of Exhibitions at MOSI, Rachel Knight comments: “Our 3D Printing the Future exhibition continues to draw large number of visitors through the doors of our historic 1830 warehouse. It is so gratifying to see so many different age groups as enthralled with this exhibition and technology as we are. Thanks to the support of Hobs, and the loan of their 3D printer for the exhibition, we are able to show visitors exactly how the technology works and what it is capable of.”

The exhibition is free to attend, so make a visit!  For more information visit www.MOSI.org.uk

In the words of the exhibition: Try it. Perfect it. Print it. Join the 3D printing revolution.
